Since their winning stint on Channel 9’s 2016 season of The Block, Karlie and Will have learnt a thing or two about mastering a seamless renovation, so when it came time to take on their own bathroom renovation, they had a clear and definitive vision of how to turn their concept into reality.
With a shared passion for interiors and style, they embarked on revamping their main bathroom by encompassing core values of simplicity, functionality and beauty.
The end result is one of soft luxury with a contemporary feel - A refined grounded palette elevated by luxurious fixtures and fittings.

LET THERE BE LIGHT
Once a dark, cold room, Karlie and Will set out to create a sun-dappled zone where relaxation beckoned. They looked no further than Velux Australia Fixed Skylights.
Perfect for visually expanding their bathroom zone, this space is now illuminated with daylight and sky views; bathtub bliss is readily available.

Positioning the skylight directly in the ceiling's middle allows for natural light to filter in from both sides, creating an open and spacious space.
As the sun moves throughout the day, shadows are cast perfectly by fixtures and fittings.

Adding dynamic layering and a touch of visual interest, Karlie and Will opted to pair two different tile styles in contrasting colours. Grey slate large-scale tiles add dimension, creating a feeling of spaciousness, whilst crisp white subway tiles laid vertically create elongation and provide the perfect blank canvas for gold trim and matching Tiger Bronze tapware to stand out and shine.
