An example in contemporary classic design

An example in contemporary classic design

Embracing the natural charms of bronze and copper, Tiger Bronze tapware, has always been high on our list of finishes to include in our projects. The colourway is super versatile and beautifully compliments a range of tones and textures. We couldn’t wait to feature Meir’s Tiger Bronze tapware range. Our Rossmoyne St project was the perfect opportunity.

The project started as a small ensuite update and turned into a complete house renovation! The home is situated in Thornbury – a cosmopolitan and dynamic inner Northern suburb in Melbourne. We drew design inspiration from the unique area to ensure the home complimented its surroundings. Deciding on a slightly industrial aesthetic for the interiors, the brief required more sophisticated and classic elements, to contrast and acknowledge the homes original roots. We achieved this by keeping the colour and material palette simple (yet striking). A key element in achieving our vision was the use of Meir’s Tiger Bronze tapware range. The home features earthy tones which perfectly pair back with Tiger Bronze.

The intended simplicity in the design presented the perfect canvas for us to introduce elements that created a wow factor. We did this through the use of bold emerald green herringbone feature tiles, navy and pale green cabinetry for the vanities and exposing the existing brick wall in the bathroom. These colours were still quite neutral, allowing the client to add other tones and textures at a later stage, but still create an immediate impact and point of difference. Each room was quite unique and had its own character so Meir’s Tiger Bronze fittings were used as the grounding element that tied the aesthetics together and created continuity throughout the home.

Because of the large scale of the project we had to consider and interrogate the investment at each critical stage. Bronze or brass tapware is often perceived as too expensive by clients. However, when we discovered Meir’s Tiger Bronze range, both us and our client were thrilled at the quality and affordability it offered.

We found the Meir Tiger Bronze range suited all elements in the home and provided the edge we were after. The range is a great choice if you are after that little bit of extra drama and sophistication!
